What is a Blog?
A Blog is a truncated term for “weblog” which is a discussion or informational site that consists of entries (known as posts) that are usually displayed in reverse chronological order. Although on our site, you can do them in chronological order. A blog is interactive in that people can comment on your “blog” and you can respond to them. All of these comments and responses are public and everyone can see them.
When you create a blog on the Boatbuilder’s Blog, it’s actually a blog within our blog, so to speak. That’s a lot of blog going on! When you create a blog, it will not immediately show up on our site as we at Glen-L have to approve it first. This is so that folks with no scruples can’t just post whatever they want—and trust us, they try.
Once we approve it and it’s on our site, when you add to it, it will automatically show up with no wait. However, if you start it on say June 4 and then by the time you add to it, there have been 5 other blogs created, yours will be below all of those. But, if you let us know you’ve added to your blog we can move it to the top. Plus, we’ll mention it in our next Newsletter too!
The purpose of this blog is for you to inform other builders and/or potential builders, about the Glen-L boat you are building. Once you start building a Glen-L boat is when you want to start your blog. You can chronicle your build and use photos to show your progress.

How to Register:
Click on “Log in” from the Boatbuilder Blog (box at the right)
Click on “Register”
Fill in a Username—this can be your actual name or nickname or other name you wish to use.
Fill in your email address
Enter the code that you see in the box—this is for security purposes
Click on “Register”
An email will be sent to you with your password. Go to your email account and copy the password.
How to Login:
Click on “Log in” from the Boatbuilder Blog (box at the right)
Enter your username and password (the password that was emailed to you)
Click the box that reads “Remember Me” so that your computer will remember your login details (if you want—makes it easier)
Now you’re logged in and in the “Dashboard” of the Glen-L Boatbuilder’s Blog
It’s a good idea to change your password, so click on the link at the top of the page that reads “Yes, take me to my profile page” or just click on “Profile” on the left
This section is where you can set up your preferences, add your name, change your password and also add some biographical information about yourself—this bio will appear on your blog and posts.
