CS-20 by Ted Hanneman, St. Angele de Monnoire, Quebec, Canada

July 13, 2018 - I just wanted you to know that I launched my CS20 today. It is a real nice boat and does everything I expected. I built it as a cuddy version. Weight with motor and 2 crew is about 1900 to 2000lbs. I chose a Yamaha F70 motor and it proved to be an excellent choice. The boat accelerates and handles nicely, floats nice and square but a bit higher than her lines. Performance is 35 mph at 6,050 rpm and 25 mph at 4,000 rpm. Hardly any trim adjustment required, nice dry ride. For a first time builder, the boat is not easy to build with out help. There are minor errors in the plans but generally they are well done. The only structural issue I found which should checked into, is that the sole is not robust enough to support the stress of the cockpit seat. If someone else wants to build one, they may contact me and I will be pleased to share my experience. Thank you for your help along the way. I thought you might like to see how far I have got with the project.
