June 2017 Bought your 28-ft Gung Ho plans 10 years ago and finally finished her. I did alter the cabin to make her my ideal boat.

Photos updated February 8, 2021 August 2010 My father Pieter Oerlemans built this one in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory in 1960-62. She had twin Grey Marines in her. He added the cover over the stern cockpit as well.

Updated June, 2018 - The motor is a 38 hp diesel engine made by Beta Marine. My wife and I had discussed what exactly we wanted out of the boat performance wise and she made it clear that going fast in a boat frightens her and I liked the idea of long range and sipping about a gallon an hour. So based on the 16 inch prop per the building specs, we went with the 38. They make their packages user friendly in that the impeller, fuel pump, and basic instrument panel are all included.
