Updated January 2017 A pic of the Glen-L Logo on the cushions and the launching of the Renegade. Update June 2014 Update May 2013 Hi Gayle and the rest of the Glen-L team. It has been a while since I have contacted you and I have made quite a bit of progress. I have Fibreglassed the boat, painted it in polyurethane water-based paint. Had the boat up on drums to paint the sides and to polish, finished all of that then winched the boat up with block and tackle each end then pulled out the drums. Had to answer phone, came back to find boat had started its own turnover! Winched up so there was plenty of clearance top and bottom and turned it over - 1 man operation as everyone else was at work. Put it straight on the trailer; perfect fit. Renegade by Ian Bell, Brisbane, Australia September 2, 2008 Hi to the Glen-l crew. I have actually started the Renegade. Worked over Easter and made the frames, since then have made the building frame and started fixing the frames to it. The plans are very easy to follow and so are the instructions. I don't know how many times I have read them. After a lot of checking with different boat builders in wooden constructions they said to use hoop pine or mahogany, which is very expensive. I am using 100 year old Hoop Pine for the frames which I got from a demolition yard at a very reasonable price compared to new price.

Subject: Boat Date: Sun, 6 Feb 2000 23:04:53 -0500 From: Robert Jamieson Hi Gayle A couple of years ago we contacted you looking for plans to build a tournament style ski boat. The closest hull you had to offer us was the Renegade. We liked the hull shape but thought the boat in general had a dated look. We purhased the plans from you and it took a whole year to finish the boat. I am sending you a couple of pix to show what we did to the plan. We followed the plans exactly to build the hull to the deck line and then put our own idea of what we thought a more modern deck should look like. We used a straight inbourd installation useing a 350 Chev engine 265HP. and a Borg velvetdrive hydralic transmission. We built the boat strickly for the purpose of watersking so the seating might not appeal to everyone. I am sending you a couple of photo\'s of the boat, if you wish more we have a complete set of pix as we built it following most steps. If anyone is interested in this type of boat we would be glad to send them photo\'s and give them any assistance that we can. You can give my e-mail address to anyone interested. Thanks for a great plan Bob Jamieson
