7-8-20 - Hope everything out there in sunny CA. is terrific. Wanted to let you know that I finally got a chance to splash my 12' Utility this morning. She was awesome (or as my kids would say, totally aus to the max). Procured a 1975 15 HP Evinrude which I refurbished to provide the power. She is everything I hoped she would be - seaworthy, responsive, and FAST. Now if she will only catch fish...... 6-19-20 - Had a friend help me set up my pics of the "chinavirus-self-isolation-Utility-12'-Project". For better or for worse, here they are. Haven't gotten it to the water yet - I can't get an appointment for registration until the end of June. (Bummer!) Note the absence of the foredeck and addition of quarterdecks. Also an athwartships rear seat instead of the side bench seats. Hope it floats......

September 2013 Here are some photos of the Utility I built recently. The fit and finish turned out very nice! The hull was shrunk to 9\'6\" to fit on the back of my 34\' Sea Ray. The frames are Sitka spruce, the plywood is Okume, the floorboards and seats are genuine mahogany. The entire boat is covered with 6 OZ glass and finished with basecoat & clearcoat finish. The project took about six months to complete.
