I am Elio Ascenzo from Melbourne, Australia and when I decided to build the Glen-L Malahini, it was a bit more difficult starting off here in Melbourne as I didn’t have the same timber choices as the boat builders in the USA. So, after a lot of research and discussions with timber merchants, I decided to build the frame out of Kauri. These photos show the first stage of the boat, which is the frame stage.
